A unique driving experience - ideal for Groups who want to try something a wee bit different.

Based around four or more participants, the object of the programme is to get people working together as a team and to be reliant on each other.

Set on a section of sloping rough ground, with a course of markers to follow, this is how it works: Below is an example of how 4 people can work together to successfully drive an obstacle course blindfolded!. Up to 9 people can participate at one time.

Where is Blindfold Driving held?

We have a number of sites that can help with the ducky adventure. They are located an hour and 20 minutes outside Edinburgh centre.

Blindfold Driving do run all year round which is great even though it might be a little cold in winter. Rain fall only makes Blindfold Driving more extreme as the more rain the better it is.

Example below:

Team Member 1.
Situated at the top of the slope, Team Member 1 has radio contact with Team Member 2 who is sitting in the rear of the vehicle, and has visual contact with Team Member 4.

Team Member 2
In the rear of the vehicle blindfolded. Receives instructions through an earpiece from Team Member 1 which are then passed on non-verbally to Team Member 3.

Team Member 3
Sitting behind the wheel blindfolded. Receives directions from Team Member 2 by physical touch - e.g. a tap on the shoulder to turn left, right shoulder to turn right, clap of the hands to brake etc. Points are deducted if verbal instructions are given.

Team Member 4
Situated outside the vehicle and at the bottom of the slope but visible to Team Member 1. However, neither 1 or 4 can see the complete course. They communicate via hand signals and sign language which they have previously agreed on.

So, in summary: No.4 signs to No. 1 who talks via radio to no.2 who relates non-verbally to No.3
